Horse Of The Month Retired Thoroughbred Racehorse Every month we will be featuring a retired Thoroughbred racehorse that needs a loving home. We believe that our brave and beautiful thoroughbred racehorses deserve a dignified retirement. Our aim is to offer an alternative to owners and trainers - rather than have horses continue to race that are no longer able to compete, LongRun tries to help by fostering, rehabilitating and finding these racehorses permanent adoptive homes and alternative careers as pleasure horses or companion animals. Relaunch Star Race History: takes-placed, 65 starts, 7 wins, $323,472. Notes: Relaunch Star comes to us in great shape from the barn of Mike Wright. This handsome ten-year-old sustained a minor tendon injury which prompted his retirement. He stands 16 hands and is substantially built, with a great and friendly personality. With a little bit of time off and retraining, he should be able to excell at any discipline.
